Getting Value from Business Process Reengineering

Abstract: Business Process Reengineering (BPR) has had a bad press over recent years as most managers associate it with job cuts. While the requirement of fewer people to manage operations might be a long-term consequence of reengineering the primary focus should be on improving the process rather than eliminating people. In this paper we look at the history of BPR and how it can provide huge value if approached in the right way.
